STUDENTS

Learning becomes more meaningful when children can connect classroom skills to something they genuinely enjoy. This cross-curriculum coaching approach uses motivating themes, such as sport, animals, nature, travel or favourite interests, to practise essential skills across English, Mathematics, Science and other primary curriculum areas. Rather than learning subjects in isolation, students explore familiar topics through reading comprehension, vocabulary, writing, numeracy, problem-solving and critical thinking activities aligned with their classroom learning goals. Psychologically, interest-based learning supports attention, engagement and motivation, while connecting new concepts to existing knowledge helps strengthen memory and understanding. Through gamified practice, guided questioning and achievable challenges, students develop confidence, strengthen foundational skills and learn how and why their knowledge applies across different subjects, supporting greater independence and readiness for classroom assessments.

Subject Coaching

Success at school isn’t just about knowing one subject—it’s about developing learning strategies that can be applied across the curriculum. This growing library includes resources I’ve developed to support a range of subjects beyond English and Mathematics, helping learners build confidence, organisation, critical thinking and effective study habits. From a psychology perspective, the brain learns more efficiently when it connects strategies across different contexts, strengthening schemas that allow knowledge and skills to transfer from one subject to another.
